JAGERMEISTER LIQUORThe unique character of Jägermeister derives from the fine blend of its natural ingredients. Throughout the year, bags of rare and exotic herbs, woods, spices, fruits, flowers, seeds, and roots from all over the world arrive in Wolfenbüttel. 56 botanicals are used in total in the Jägermeister recipe, created by Curt Mast. Some of these are: south Asian ginger root, Florence root, galangal, lovage, chiretta (Indian balmonia), angelica, juniper berries, enula, hyssopus, pomerance, chamomile, lavender, coriander, pepper, clove, star anise, dioica pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, fennel, bitter orange, rose hips, quinine, licorice, turmeric, saffron, Sri Lankan cinnamon, East Indian red sandalwood and European cranberries. However, these others are known as possible: malaviscus, yarrow, arctium, grains of paradise, Java pepper, wintergreen, cassia, stachys, portulacaceae, borage and sandalwood. We can count here 40, taking into account the possible ones. The other 16 and their proportions are a secret. The reception and handling of these ingredients is a task reserved to three people only. It is recommended to serve very cold, around -20şC. If you have any questions when buying LICOR JAGERMEISTER in our online store selling wine and spirits, please contact our sommelier.
