Júlia Bernet Maria Bernet is a Corpinnat sparkling wine produced at the Júlia Bernet winery, located in Catalonia, and made from xarel-lo.
Júlia Bernet's personal project was started by Xavier Bernet in 2001, when he decided to stop selling grapes from the family vineyards in Subirats (Barcelona) to create his own wines and sparkling wines. This decision has resulted in limited productions of high quality with a marked indigenous character. Since 2018, Júlia Bernet has been part of the European Union's Collective Mark Corpinnat, a seal that guarantees the quality of organic sparkling wines.
From the best Xarel-lo vintages. Long ageing that, with the passage of time, gives rise to this María Bernet.
Harvested in 2013, the grapes were harvested by hand in the morning in search of the freshness of the night.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were brought to the cellar and vinified at a temperature of 14ºC. Fermentation took approximately 30 days, resulting in a dense, silky wine. Resting for six months on its lees.
Fine filtration before the second fermentation in the bottle. Long ageing, providing volume and aromas of ripe fruit with toasted nuances, while maintaining a marked and refreshing acidity.
High persistence in the mouth, with fine bubbles and, after opening after a few minutes, this Corpinnat becomes a good companion for the most demanding dishes.
