Alchemist #1 is a red Ribera del Duero wine with 14% alcohol by volume and 5 months of aging in American, Spanish, and French barrels, which maintains the floral memories for a long time, prompting another glass. Due to its texture, it will be a wine that preserves its qualities for a few years.
We have produced
only 7,800 bottles of this completely natural wine from the vineyards of our town: Fuentenebro, in Burgos, the only one in Ribera del Duero with a
high mountain climate. And we have done it with a single purpose: to maintain what past generations have left us, with grapes chosen from a vineyard that our grandparents already harvested.
COLOR:
Expressive and rich range of colors. Well-dressed, with plenty of color, clean, bright (good acidity), with pronounced bluish details in the meniscus. High layer, good purple coloration (intense).NOSE: There is a lot of freshness
, given that it has a good acidity. Tones of sweet tannins and black and red fruit in perfect ripeness. Very intense vinous character, but without peaks. Balance between touches of black and red fruit, with some spiciness. Fresh memories, with some mineral and distant hints of cinnamon, vanilla, and cocoa (new or semi-new barrel), perhaps some caramel.IN THE MOUTH:
Dry, but fruity attack, expressive, tones of blackberry and black plum return, also some black currant, some soft tannin, without forgetting the fruit, enveloping, intense in the mid-palate, with a certain alcoholic peak, well balanced with the tannin and the light barrel.PAIRING: Beef ribeye, roasts, stews with vegetables, Iberian products, pickled dishes, and rice with meats.

We produce very limited editions, as we make them all with highly selected grapes, in extreme terrains, where what is found is extraordinary. The terrain, the vine and the grape are treated in an ancestral way and that is why there is so little.
