Leading brand in the Ribera del Duero, Protos is also one of the Spanish wineries with the largest presence in the international market (present in more than 80 countries) and one of the most historic wineries in Spain, founded in 1927. The new Protos facilities (designed by Richard Rogers) are connected subway with the old winery, which has galleries excavated in the mountain of Peñafiel Castle, where the winery's wines are currently matured in excellent conditions.
The Red Wine Protos Crianza is harvested by hand in 20 kg boxes. Selection table. Maceration with skins and fermentation for 21 days at 28 ºC.
It is made with 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes. It is aged for 14 months in American and French oak barrels.
