More information

Quinta Sardonia is a red wine elaborated with tinto fino, cabernet sauvignion, merenzao, malbec and syrah, in the D.O. Castilla y León by Bodegas Quinta Sardonia.

Currently, Quinta Sardonia is part of the Terras Gauda winery group, although the project was initially conceived and supervised by Peter Sisseck. In fact, the winery's technical manager, Jérôme Bougnaud, has collaborated with Peter for an extensive period and is part of the Dominio de Pingus viticulture team.

The initiative originated in 1998, with the first vintage in 2002. During 1999 and 2000, new vineyards were planted, incorporating varieties such as tinto fino, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, petit verdot, malbec and cabernet franc. Biodynamic methods are applied both in the care of the vineyard and in the winery practices, seeking to achieve an optimal balance between soil, climate, vine and environment.

Tasting Notes Quinta Sardonia

It has a dark cherry colour. The aromas are intense and refined, with ripe fruit and subtle hints of oak. In the mouth, it shows a remarkable balance, full-bodied, with a creamy texture characterised by sweet and very pleasant tannins. In the retronasal, the lingering presence of ripe fruit is perceived, culminating in a long and tasty finish.
