Las Mamblas is an exceptional red wine that captures the authentic essence of the terroir of Covarrubias, in the Arlanza Designation of Origin. Produced by Valtravieso Wineries and Vineyards, this wine is a true testament to the Atlantic and elegant character of the region, reflecting the tradition and respect for the land that gives it life.

The centenary vines that give rise to Las Mamblas are grown in goblet shape, on alluvial soils composed of gravels and sands, with a clay subsoil that contributes to the structure and freshness of the wine. Tempranillo is the main variety of this wine, complemented by a small percentage of Mencía, Monastrell, Bobal and Garnacha, giving it a unique complexity and aromatic richness.

Las Mamblas is a wine of character that stands out for being fresh, direct and very honest in its expression. Its production is artisanal, with microvinifications that respect the uniqueness of each parcel, with batches ranging from 500 to 3,000 kilograms. The grapes are carefully destemmed and vatted without the use of pumps, thus preserving the integrity of the fruit. During fermentation, a daily manual punching down is carried out, and maceration times are determined by taste, ensuring that the wine extracts all its potential without losing its natural elegance.

The malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels of different sizes, from 228 to 500 liters, where the wine rests for at least 12 months. This process allows Las Mamblas to acquire additional complexity without losing the freshness that characterizes it.
