Serras del Priorat is a red wine from the Priorat DO produced by Clos Figueras, a winery located in the village of Gratallops. In this area, the climate is temperate, warm, and dry.
This wine is a blend of the varieties Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon from vines between 5 and 10 years old. The vineyards are planted between 400 and 700 meters above sea level, in extremely poor slate soil.
The harvest is carried out in 20 kg boxes. After selecting the grapes on a selection table at the winery, fermentation takes place in 2,500-liter tanks. Maceration occurs after alcoholic fermentation and lasts for two weeks.
Serras del Priorat is aged in second-year French oak barrels of 300 to 500l for seven months. Serras del Priorat is a wine with an excellent value for money. Made in Spain Gourmet always offers the best of Spanish gastronomy.

The region has the coveted DOCa.
Currently, the region has the coveted "Denominación de Origen Calificada" designation shared only with Rioja in Spain.
The Denominación de Origen Calificada Priorat is a small mountainous region located in the province of Tarragona. The Montsant mountain range delimits it to the north, with the La Figuera range to the west, the Molló range to the east, and the territory opens up to the south following the course of the Siurana river downstream towards the Ebro. The Siurana river and its tributaries are the main geographical artery of the area, creating a series of valleys and small plains thanks to the geological sinuosity of the mountains and mountain slopes. According to Catalonia's legislation regarding regional administrative division, the territory of the DOCa Priorat falls within a larger administrative delimitation known as the "Comarca del Priorat," which also has a part of the territory that is not part of the wine-growing Priorat.
The Denominación de Origen Calificada Priorat has an area of 17,629 hectares, of which 2,163.97 are planted with vines and cultivated by 513 viticulturists. Administratively, 9 municipalities are part of the DOCa Priorat: Bellmunt del Priorat, Gratallops, El Lloar, El Molar, La Morera de Montsant (which includes the village of Scala Dei in its term), Poboleda, Porrera, Torroja del Priorat, La Vilella Alta, and La Vilella Baixa. Additionally, on the limits of the DOQ Priorat, there is also the northern part of the municipality of Falset (the Masos de Falset area) and the eastern part of the municipality of El Molar (Les Solanes del Molar). La Morera de Montsant, Scala Dei, Gratallops, Torroja del Priorat, Porrera, and Poboleda were formerly part of the Priorat of the Carthusian Monastery of Scala Dei. The rest were included in the denomination of origin delimitation done in 1932, shaping the current territory of the DOCa Priorat. As a result of the expansion of grape cultivation and the quality of its wines, promoted, driven, and dominated by the Carthusian monks, the area gained worldwide renown, making it one of the most important wine regions in the world today.
Clos Figueras Estate
Clos Figueras has an excellent vineyard, with the classic 'llicorella' soil, in the famous Gratallops area of the Priorat denomination.
The property was acquired in October 1997 by Charlotte and Christopher Cannan on the recommendation of René Barbier, owner of the famous Clos Mogador estate and founder of the "new wave" Priorat movement in the late 1980s. An initial purchase of approximately 10 hectares of abandoned terraces was followed by a new acquisition in 2000 to complete the 18-hectare estate.
