DESCRIPTION: The Teruel Ham D.O.P Raíces de Alfonso Sáez is a ham from a white layer pig crossbreed: paternal line duroc, maternal line landrace-large white breed, fatty of optimal healing. It is cured for at least 18 months
PRESENTATION: The product is presented filleted in a tray of 150 grams, preserved in a protective atmosphere, so as to ensure the preservation of all its organoleptic properties
QUALITY: This ham is obtained with an excellent raw material, pigs (crossbred with Duroc) raised in the mountains of Teruel with the best feed and cereals, following the regulation of the P.D.O. of Teruel. The hams are cured in the traditional way in one of the oldest dryers in the region of Gúdar-Javalambre, in the town of Mora de Rubielos, ensuring a high quality product. It is a product made from the best pieces of pork to obtain a natural product after the salting and curing process, thus achieving the best aroma, flavour and a characteristic colour, which changes from pink to dark red in the lean part, with fat of intense flavour
TIPS: The cured products from our dryer have proteins of high biological value, oleic acid and monounsaturated fats that reduce the risk of heart disease and high nutritional values
APLICATIONS: Slicing preferably by knife, in thin slices at a temperature of approximately 21ºC. The Teruel Ham D.O.P Raíces Serrano Alfonso Sáez is a perfect pairing for cheeses, preserves, wines and oils
CONSERVATION: Keep in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight. Once opened, it is recommended to consume within 1 month
