The Bright Red variety of persimmons have a crunchy, orange-colored flesh.
Do not put in the fridge.
It is not advisable to store persimmons in the refrigerator. However, you can freeze them once peeled and sliced if you want to use them later or prepare a dish that requires them to be frozen, for example, for making a sorbet. Keep in mind that when you thaw the persimmon, if you are not going to cook it, consuming it raw after freezing tends to lose a lot of flavor.
