LAPHROAIG 10 YEAR OLD WHISKY
The Laphroaig 10 Year Old Whisky is the original Laphroaig, distilled in the same way as when Ian Hunter invented it over 75 years ago.
When making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, which is only found on the Scottish island of Islay, gives Laphroaig its rich distinctive flavor. It is then aged for 10 years in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon. Laphroaig Whisky has received many awards from 1998 to today.
TASTING NOTES OF LAPHROAIG 10 YEAR OLD WHISKY:
Appearance: intense and bright gold color.
Nose: Smoky and sea breeze tones, followed by notes of medicinal herbs and some sweetness.
Palate: Surprisingly sweet on the palate, with salty tones and smoky notes. Persistent and elongated finish.
