The Talisker Whisky is produced on the west coast of the Isle of Skye, located in Scotland. It is a single malt that preserves the flavor given to it by the founders of the distillery in 1830.
The Talisker 10-year-old whisky is aged for 10 years and stands out for its sweet taste and clear hints of malted barley.
Appearance: The Talisker 10-year-old whisky has an amber color, leaning towards reddish and is bright.
Nose: It is smoky and maritime. It slightly reminds of the aroma of olives with anchovies, while also featuring notes of pepper and the tart sweetness of green apples. The smoke is very evident, although not as heavy as in certain Islay whiskies.
Palate: Round body. Here, the peat takes center stage, although in the background we can find saltiness, pepper, tart apple, and perhaps the sweetness of pear. Its finish is very long, smoky, and rich in pepper. Undoubtedly, one of the best things about this whisky is its rich and long finish, full of stages, from the initial smoke through the pepper and other spices to the final sweet echoes.
