Whole wheat couscous is a food made from hard wheat semolina, which provides a large amount of carbohydrates, especially starch. It has a appearance of elastic grains, not floury or pasty, uniform light brown color, with a characteristic smell and taste of wheat. It is low in fat and high in protein and fiber, vitamins from group B and E. It can be consumed as a side dish, in salads, soups, among other recipes. Not suitable for people with celiac disease, contains gluten.
