Tasting Note

Very intense, deep, and complex wine.

Highly expressive nose in which the characteristic varietal aromas of Syrah are perfectly integrated, black fruit, currant, blackberry, and plum, notes of violet, black olive, pepper, and cloves, with balsamic, tobacco, and toasty aromas contributed by its time in new French oak barrels. On the palate, it is powerful, flavorful, and very persistent. It conveys a freshness that guarantees great evolution over the next few years.

Vintage Characteristics

A total of 530 liters/m2 were harvested between October 1, 2019, and September 30, 2020. Rainfall was mainly concentrated in the spring, with no significant rain recorded in August or in the days leading up to the harvest, which would dilute the power or affect the health of the fruit.

Temperatures in the summer were warm, but with few heatwaves. A second half of August and a September milder than usual allowed the grapes to have higher acidity levels than in previous years, with better and more balanced phenolic ripeness.
