In the field:
Stemming from Tempranillo vineyards planted between 450 and 490m altitude on alluvial soils. The skin of these grapes is usually fine, with less color load. Harvested at the optimum time for rosé winemaking.
The vintage:
The beginning of 2017 was marked by low winter rainfall and a noticeably earlier bud break. Heavy frosts at the end of April led to a significant yield reduction. Occasional summer rains and ideal conditions in August alleviated the water stress and led to an early harvest in September, of small berries in perfect balance, resulting in a very good 2017 vintage.
In the winery:
Once destemmed and crushed, the grapes are cold macerated for a few hours. We bleed the must that the grapes release during this period and ferment cold.
