Godello de Adega o Cabalín O Cabalín vintage 2017 wine from centennial vineyards of several plots in which red and white varieties are intermingled on poor slate soils on very steep slopes

• Variety: 100% Godello planted between 1919 and 1929 harvested by hand in 16 kg boxes
• Making process: Crushing and partial destemming. Maceration with the skins in stainless steel tanks for 48 hours. Fermented in 500 l barrels
• Ageing: Resting for 12 months with its lees in the same barrels
• Rating: 13º
• Bottle of 75 cl

This is how the producers define it:

It has a nice golden yellow color with greenish reflections and a greater intensity than usual for a wine of this age, provided by the maceration with the skins before fermenting.

Wine with aromas of red berries

Sweet aromas of star anise harmonize with iodine salinity and both fresh and dried white flowers along with the essence of reineta apple peel and orange peel. The evolution in the glass brings notes of yeast, wax and nuts. The combination of these aromas reminds us of classic and aged champagnes withelegant notes of oxidation

The mouthhas a very good and savory acidity. It is broad, full, structured with a saline and spicy flavor. The wood is very well integrated and is only perceptible because of the complexity it brings. It leaves a subtle liquorous sensation that is balanced with freshness from the acidity. It is long and ends with a touch of bitterness.
