Wine made from 100% Mencía grapes from our vineyards located in the municipality of Los Barrios, Ponferrada. It has been produced since 2007. The vineyards are located between 500-600 meters altitude. Tasting notes: Red color, with garnet hues, clean and bright. The nose is intense, clean, with aromas of fresh fruit, strawberry and cherry. The palate is round, fresh, with nice tannins, balanced, with good structure, and great permanence in the end with a fine and elegant aftertaste

Making: It is made with single varietal Mencía from its vineyard located in Los Barrios, a wine-growing area of Bierzo and which has different characteristics from other areas of the region, so its wines are also different, although they are representative of a part of its terroir. Coming from alluvial soils, its vines of between 80 and 120 years are bathed by a continental Mediterranean climate that, together with an average altitude of 550 meters, give the wine a marked aromatic character.

The Bierzo region is located in the northwest of the province of León, within the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León, and occupies an area of 2,954.28 kilometers, which represents 18% of the provincial surface. Geographically, it borders the provinces of Ourense, Lugo and Asturias and is a communication axis between Galicia, León and Asturias.
