Oude Kriek Boon is a young lambic to which 400 grams of fresh cherries are added per litre in large oak barrels where they macerate for 6 months after which they are bottled and stored in the brewery cellars to produce a second fermentation.
It has a crystalline red color with a pinkish foam of medium permanence
Slightly fruity cherry aroma with citrus sensations.
In slightly acidic and fresh taste, predominantly sour cherries, although after several months in the bottle, it becomes a deep flavor reminiscent of port or Madeira wine.
