Brandy de Jerez Solera Reserva Lustau
The Brandy de Jerez Solera Reserva Lustau is a distillate distinguished by its well integrated flavor, round both in mouth and nose, with a very generous sweetness. All these factors make up a well-defined character.
Aged for more than three years, through the traditional process of Criaderas and Soleras, in a selection of the best American oak casks, which have formerly contained Amontillado. This former tenant of the barrels, left imprinted a flavor that is expressed strongly in the Solera Reserva Lustau.
The system of Soleras and Criaderas consists of arranging the barrels in a pyramidal shape. During the aging of Brandy de Jerez, the liquid in the upper barrels begins to descend to the lower barrels as the years go by. The butts that make up the base of the pyramid are called Soleras, while those at the top are the Criaderas.
This way of aging Brandy de Jerez Solera Reserva Lustau imprints a balanced and homogeneous flavor to the spirit.
The Brandy de Jerez Solera Reserva Lustau received the best-in-class award during the International Spirits Challenge in 2013. It also won second place at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in 2015, Quality Award category.
This spirit is the ideal companion to the iconic Brandy Cola drink, although it can equally be used to innovate, with cocktails such as Brandy Mojito or Brandy Tonic.
