The "GUINDILLA or PIPARRA de IBARRA" with EUSKO LABEL belongs to an autochthonous variety and is characterized by its thin skin, its tender flesh that practically does not sting, its greenish-yellow colour and its mild flavour. Packed in white wine vinegar with low acidity and low salt content, it has great recognition in the market, not only as an accompaniment to dishes but also as a base for a wide variety of appetizers and pintxos such as the classic Gilda Donostiarra

If there is a brand of piparras or chilli peppers in Ibarra that stands out from other brands, it is Zubelzu Piparrak. Their fields are oriented to the sun, they do not use pesticides or herbicides and harvesting is done by hand, one by one. Zubelzu chillies have tender flesh and thin skin and have the Eusko Label, awarded by the Basque government to native Basque products of extraordinary quality
