La Chouffe is a craft beer from Belgium in the Strong Ale style, unfiltered, high fermentation, and with a second fermentation in the bottle. This strong blonde beer is very potent and has a fruity, spicy, and slightly hopped flavor. It is made with water, yeast, pale barley malt, Saaz-Saaz and Styrian Golding hops, and coriander. Its second fermentation in the bottle is carried out by adding yeast and sugar just before bottling.

BRASSERIE D''ACHOUFFE
Brasserie D'Achouffe is a famous Belgian brewery. La Chouffe was a great success, and over time Brasserie D'Achouffe launched other successful beers such as Cherry Chouffe and McChouffe, among others. In the late summer of 2006, the Duvel-Moortgat brewing group bought the brewery, and today Achouffe beers are distributed in more than 40 countries worldwide.
According to the founders of the brewery, the credit for the La Chouffe recipe belongs to the sole survivor of a gnome colony. Legend has it that he gifted the recipe for his beer to the humans of D'Achouffe. As a token of gratitude, the image of the red-hatted gnomes is displayed on all Chouffe craft beers. Nowadays, the beer is brewed with water from the same Cedrogne stream where the legendary beer used to flow.
