The salmon trout, also known as sea trout, belongs to the species Salmo trutta trutta trutta, of the salmonidae family. It is very similar to salmon, being intermediate in size between salmon and trout
Salmon trout is a fatty fish, since it provides 12 g of fat per 100 g of edible portion; being the quality of its fat, extremely good.
In it stands out the high content of omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, it contains proteins of high biological value, as well as vitamins and minerals.
It is a source of phosphorus, selenium, iodine and potassium. Among the B vitamins, include, in descending order of their contribution to the recommended intake / day for the population group described, vitamin B12, vitamin B3 or niacin, vitamin B6 and vitamin B1 or thiamine which contribute to normal energy metabolism
