Guiberteau Saumur Rouge is a red wine from the Saumur DO, France, made from Cabernet Franc.
Guiberteau Rouge is sourced from three parcels of old-vine Cabernet Franc (planted between 1955 and 1957) that lie on loamy, sandy soils over limestone on the Brézé hill.
Made entirely from destemmed grapes, it is bottled and fermented naturally in concrete before spending 12 months in large barrels.
Domaine Guiberteau Saumur 2017 is a fresh and smooth red wine. On the nose it has fruity aromas reminiscent of blackcurrants, blackberries or cherries.
On the palate it has an acidity that gives it freshness, and once again we find the range of fresh red and black fruit that was announced on the nose.
