La Hormiga de Antidoto Tinto Magnum is a premium wine from Ribera del Duero, produced by renowned winemaker Bertrand Sourdais.
This presentation in Magnum format (1.5 liters) allows for a slower and more balanced evolution of the wine, further highlighting its character and complexity. Coming from century-old Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) vineyards planted on clay soils in San Esteban de Gormaz, this wine is an authentic expression of the terroir, with careful aging in French oak barrels that gives it distinction and depth.
Appearance: Deep garnet red in color, with purple reflections on the rim, denoting youth and power. Its high layer suggests great concentration.
Nose: On the nose, it is very expressive and complex. Aromas of ripe black fruits predominate, such as plum and blackberry, accompanied by elegant notes of licorice, sweet spices and a subtle balsamic touch. The aging in French oak provides delicate nuances of vanilla, chocolate and toast, along with a marked mineral character.
Palate: On the palate, La Hormiga de Antídoto Magnum is broad and silky, with a well-defined structure. The tannins are perfectly integrated, offering a soft but firm texture. The ripe fruit is balanced with a vibrant freshness, and the palate is enveloping and persistent, with a long and elegant finish that leaves a mineral and spicy imprint.
