The Geographical Designation Liqueur of Galician Herbsprotects these traditional spirits, obtained from spirits covered by the Geographical Designation Orujo de Galicia and ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin, by maceration and distillation of the alcohol together with the herbs that characterize it.

Galician herbal liqueur must have a minimum sugar content of 100 g/l and its alcohol content must range between 15 and 40%. In the mixture of alcohols, the minimum content of aguardienteaccepted to the Geographical Denomination Orujo de Galicia is 50% of the total absolute alcohol.
