from Terras Gigurras

{{getOldPrice()}}{{getPrice()}}

Red wine O Cabalín 2018 from a single plot whose vines were planted in 1918. Several varieties were planted as was customary for the area and the time

  • Variety: Mencia and Garnacha Tintorera for the most part. Small percentages of merenzao, sousón, brancellao and others
  • Making process: Manual harvest and fermentation in 500-liter barrels. 30% of the grapes are crushed with stems in the traditional way and the rest is destemmed
  • Ageing: The wine is aged for 16 months in the same barrels
  • Aggregation: 13,5º
  • Bottle of 75 cl

This is how the producers define it:

Clean cherry red color with garnet tones, dense and bright

Good intensity on the nose with ripe blackberry fruit, fresh cherries and a touch of apricot with hints of fragrant blue flower petals: violets and lavender, which integrate harmoniously with the aromas of aging: a subtle roasted coffee, hints of vanilla and spicy sparks. Evolution in the glass towards the mineral elegance of gunpowder and pencil lead, the seriousness of tobacco leaf, the finesse of fine leatherwork and the freshness of menthol.

In mouth it has a fresh and fruity first contact in which the black and red fruit (riper) and its delicate flowers are repeated. A vigorous structure reflects a vigorous but very noble tannin. It is very flavorful and pleasant to drink.
