Oude Geuze Boon VAT is a monoblend blend bottled by the Boon brewery. A monoblend blend is an old Geuze in which 90% of old Lambiek is used from the same oak barrel. A little young lambic is added in this blend for fermentation in the bottle, this gives it brightness, suppleness and complexity
By using a single lambic cask is the character of that particular cask reflected. Therefore, reference to the number in the name of the beer - for example VAT 108 (barrel number).
Depending on how long the Lambic has matured in oak casks and how long the VAT has fermented in the bottle, the taste of the beer will be uniquely affected. The advice for storage is in a dark place at a temperature, preferably 16ºC, and as constant as possible
