About Queseria Artesanal Plazuelo

Quality artisan cheeses (Córdoba)

Quesos Plazuelo, founded in 1994 by a livestock family, is located in Villaralto and complies with European regulations for the artisanal production of traditional cheeses from Los Pedroches.

They offer a wide variety of fresh, soft, semi-cured, mixed, and pure goat and sheep cheeses, as well as creams and the innovative "Blue Cheese", all made with the best milk from the Valle de Los Pedroches.

Gourmet creamy cheese made with raw sheep's milk from the Pedroches Valley and vegetable coagulant from the Cynara Cardunculus flower. Aged for a minimum of 2 months, this cheese stands out for its flavor and strength.
For an even creamier texture, it is recommended to briefly heat in the oven or microwave.
Formats: 240 grams. Transportation: The cheeses are sent protected against accidental bumps, surrounded by cotton bandage, and packaged in cling film.

More information:

TASTING NOTES

  • The color of the rind varies between yellow and brown tones, sometimes slightly reddish, with a creamy interior.
  • It is a cheese with a very intense olfactory intensity, with vegetal and animal aromas that intertwine in the mouth.
  • With a salty and slightly bitter touch.
  • Very soft, creamy, soluble and melting texture, with high unctuosity.

PAIRING

Pairs perfectly with toasted wheat and rye bread, nuts, honey, jam, and/or caramelized onions. Due to its aromatic power, dry white wines are usually a good accompaniment.
