Ron Brugal is a rum from the Dominican Republic. It can boast of being the third brand in the international rum market and the third brand in the European market.
Ron Brugal undergoes a 5-year aging process. It is made from alcohol produced by fermenting sugarcane molasses, like all Dominican products. Once the sugarcane is harvested, it is transported to the mills where it is squeezed to extract all its juice.
This juice, called molasses, is then transported to the Brugal distillery where it is first fermented with yeast in large tanks. After this process, it is distilled under vacuum and the resulting alcohol undergoes its final aging process with demineralized water in burnt white oak barrels.
Appearance: Ron Brugal has a bright, clear, and clean amber color.
Nose: On the nose, it presents itself as a very balanced and not overly complex rum.
Palate: On the palate, it highlights a pronounced wood aroma with notes of chocolate and caramel, where the tannins of the wood can also be felt.
Brugal Añejo is perfect for refreshing cocktails. It pairs well with Sprite, fresh lime, and plenty of ice.
