Ron Matusalem Solera 23 years is a Cuban rum aged for 23 years. Its sophisticated flavor, attractive taste, and premium character will delight the most demanding palates. It is a great reserve rum made with the solera aging system used in the aging of sherry wines and brandies. Through this method, very old rums are blended with younger rums to maintain quality. This rum is Matusalem's greatest achievement.
Appearance: Ron Matusalem Solera 23 years has a deep amber color with coppery orange iridescence. Very attractive and appetizing.
Nose: Nutty aromas stand out over pastry notes. Fresh honey sensation with hints of magnolia and almond blossom. Caramelized sugar and toffee background along with mango intertwined with fine, exotic woods and cedar; accompanied by a touch of white chocolate and almonds.
Palate: It is very fine, elegant, and creamy. Licorice background over tones of toasted almonds/hazelnuts. Very complex, transitioning from fresh sensations to dried fruits and becoming very sophisticated, with a final touch reminiscent of sherry.
