This Vino Espumoso Textures de Pedra de Bodega Raventós i Blanc presents us with this Sparkling Wine from D.O Penedés (Spain) made with the grape varieties Xarel-lo, Bastard Negre and Sumoll.

Aging

This Vino Espumoso Textures de Pedra has a minimum aging of 48 months on lees. Additionally, no expedition liquor is added. It is important to note that certified organic cane sugar is used for the tirage.

Variety and Production

These autochthonous grape varieties from the region have their own special reason and space. On one hand, we have Xarel-lo and Bastard Negre harvested from the Viña Más Alta vineyard, located at the top of Turó del Serral. On the other hand, Sumoll comes from a vineyard to the west at the height of Conca del Anoia. These vineyards were planted in 1965 and 2002 respectively. They have a total area of ​​9.73 hectares.

Regarding the soils, they have a marine origin with a large presence of eroded limestone pebbles. This calcareous structure with a limo-sandy texture provides a high content of rounded stones that contribute to the vines. As for the climate, it is pre-coastal Mediterranean type.
