The Green Dog is a classic verdejo but it is actually much more than that, it is a wine that has contributed like few others to the Rueda Designation of Origin. Its story begins in 1987 when Ángel Lorenzo Cachazo - belonging to a family with a great winemaking tradition - starts his solo journey and decides to found his own winery, Martivilli. However, it is not until 2005 when Ángel Lorenzo and his son Javier join the Uvas Felices project and create the Green Dog. Uvas Felices is an association of several Spanish winemakers in collaboration with some of the country's leading wine producers, created with the aim of presenting wines from different Spanish regions. The Green Dog has not only become the most well-known white wine in Spain but also appears on the menu of Michelin-starred restaurants such as Moments, Les Cols, Atrio, Coque, and Miramar among others, a great introduction for a wine that maintains a very affordable price.
