The Macallan 12 years triple Casck is part of the triple Cask matured range, a series of single malt whiskies made in a combination of three barrels: European and American oak casks that have previously housed sherry and oak casks. American that used to contain bourbon. This complex combination of oak barrels gives an extraordinarily soft and delicate character that is full of citrus fruits, vanilla and fresh oak.
Once filled, the spirit ages without disturbance in the same barrels for twelve years. After this period, this complex combination of barrels melts in an exquisite and expert way to create this vibrant single malt.
Triple Cask matured 12 years Old was formerly called Fine Oak 12 years Old and offers the same extraordinarily soft and delicate character, albeit complex, with a new name, a new bottle and a new and daring packaging.
