The White Wine Castillo de Monjardin Chardonnay Reserva from Bodegas Castillo de Monjardín, belongs to the D.O. Navarra and has a 100% Chardonnay grape variety.
There are very few chardonnays in Spain capable of making a Reserva aging and remain fresh, lively, full in the mouth and elegant. Thanks to the unique climate of the Monjardín Valley, we obtain the necessary conditions to produce this style of wine. La Rellanada vineyard
Located just in front of the winery, planted in 1988, it has always harvested Chardonnay of the highest quality. Altitude of about 600 m. Very concentrated grapes, with a lot of intensity and fantastic acidity that keeps the wine fresh and young for years. Harvest in mid-October, medium cluster and golden grain. Winemaking and aging
Cold maceration for 12 hours and fermentation in new French Allier barrels for 25 days. Aged on the lees for 14 months, with frequent batonnages, developing a fat and round palate. Aging in bottle, where the evolution in aromas and complexity are extraordinary.
