Chestnut honey is a dark amber monofloral honey. It has a floral scent but with a predominant herbaceous aroma and a marked component of dry wood.
It has a sweet taste, although salty or even bitter notes can be found. Its flavor evokes the forest, as it strongly resembles wood or resin.
