Guímaro Camiño Real is a red wine made by Adega Guímaro in Sober, in the heart of the D.O. Ribera Sacra.
Guímaro Camiño Real is a wine made mainly with Mencía, with 20% of other red varieties such as Garnacha Tintorera, Caíño Tinto, Mouratón and Sousón. These grapes come from several vineyards located mostly on slate soils.
Adega Guímaro was built at the beginning of the century and wines are produced in the traditional way. In 1991 it underwent a major renovation that improved its conditions and the winery is today one of the flagships of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
Adega Guímaro practices an organic and respectful agriculture with its environment, always betting for the autochthonous varieties.
Once the grapes are harvested, they are fermented with the stems in tanks made of different materials, with indigenous yeasts. The subsequent aging is in wooden tanks of different sizes for about 7 months. Once assembled in stainless steel tanks, it is bottled just before release.
Guímaro Camiño Real is a juicy, elegant and fresh wine. On the nose the aromas of fresh red fruit stand out, with floral notes over a mineral background. In the mouth it shows all its character with agility and freshness. A wine with a spectacular value for money.
