This Christmas, ask them to bring you home your Artisan Kings' Cake. Made from high-quality ingredients, with slow kneading and long fermentation.
Made with organic flour, French butter, free-range hen eggs, sugar, flavored with natural orange blossom water (from the Sevillian factory Luca de Tena), aged rum, and milk infused with fresh orange and lemon peels with organic cinnamon. For decoration, we use handmade candied oranges, Spanish sliced almonds, and a touch of sugar with orange blossom essence.
The whole process takes about 30 hours.
It all starts with the preparation of the candied oranges.
Next comes the milk infused with oranges, lemons, good cinnamon, and my personal touch.
Meanwhile, the sourdough is prepared with all those aromas and after 12 hours fermenting, it smells amazing.
Then all the ingredients are kneaded together and left to rest again.
The next step is shaping the dough into a ring and letting it ferment one last time.
Finally, it is decorated with oranges, sliced almonds, sugar with orange blossom water, and baked in the oven.
