To produce Lindemans Cuvée René Kriek, the cherries ferment in a lambic that takes at least six months in huge 10,000-litre oak barrels called foeders. After these months, this traditional kriek is bottled in 75cl corked bottles. The beer will then undergo a second fermentation process in the bottle for several more months. It has been brewed at Lindemans since 1961 although, since 2017, the term "Cuvée René" has been added to it.
They have been brewing it since 1961
