Rochefort 10 has been brewed since 1954. Trappistes Rochefort beers are identified according to the old nomenclature which refers to the original density of the wort of each beer 6, 8 and 10. This would be something over 1060, 1080 and 1100.
Rochefort 10
[BOTTLE 33 CL]
Beer with Trappist denomination of origin, 11.3% alcohol, top fermentation and secondary fermentation in bottle.
The Rochefort 10 has a deep dark brown color. Dense and long lasting foam. Its great strength and full body are balanced by a complexity of spicy and earthy flavours, with notes of chestnuts and bitter chocolate and hints of port wine, leather, apricots and oak - a very interesting drink
Pairs very well with game dishes containing truffles, or meats with very intense reduction sauces. Very suitable as a dessert beer as it goes perfectly with the darkest Belgian chocolates.
