Why consume insects?

The real question is, why shouldn't we consume insects?

With each passing day we feel the true effects of global warming and if until a few years ago we thought that the defenders of the planet were just extremist hippies, today it is up to each of us to look at ourselves and try to find ways to be more sustainable and have a lesser impact on our planet.

Increasingly, our fast-paced lifestyle is pushing us toward ignorance about the environmental impact of our food choices.

The use of insects as a food source is called entomophagy, from the Greek éntomon meaning "insects for eating".

Humans have consumed insects since their primordial times, where they needed to hunt and find edible plants, insects being part of this ritual as they provided them with the nutrients necessary for their survival.

There are already around 2 billion people, spread around the world, who are accustomed to consuming insects.
