Siesto Red Wine aims to be a tribute to the different regions of Zamora, its people, and their craftsmanship over the years, its grape varieties, the way of caring for the vineyards and the winemaking process, creating unique and highly distinctive wines.
PRODUCTION AREA. Sanzoles. Toro Region. Zamora. Castilla y León.
VARIETIES:
- Bruñal: 50%. Native and exclusive to the Arribes del Duero. Very rustic vine. Small bunches and berries, with cylindrical and usually compact bunches, and the berry is rather spherical, black-blue in color. High potential for technological ripeness, with high levels of both sugars and acidity. It presents aromas and flavors of forest fruits and a high content of polyphenols.
- Tinta de Toro: 50%. Best-known grape variety in the Toro region. Although it belongs to the Tempranillo family, this grape has its own specific characteristics and qualities. Small-sized grains with abundant tannins, suitable for producing powerful, structured wines with a marked personality and intensity.
PRODUCTION.- Artisanal production of the different grape varieties separately.
- Alcoholic fermentation in small stainless steel tanks, with controlled temperature.
- Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels.
AGING. 24 months in new French oak barrels. Serve at a temperature of 14-15 oC.
