Ron Cacique is a rum from Venezuela born in 1959. It was decided to give it that name because in the tradition of Venezuelan tribes, the Cacique was the one who had the privilege of distributing the rum.
The Ron Cacique from Venezuela was a leader in the market last decade but was dethroned by its Dominican competitors for having a sweeter and easier taste.
Ron Cacique is a blend of various types of rum, distilled three times and aged for two years in white oak barrels. It is the result of the blend of the best selection of sugarcane and pure spring water, artisanally distilled in the microclimate of the jungle. Its distillation process takes place in copper stills and pots.
Cacique is obtained by blending up to 47 different rums: some younger and others more aged. The result is a dark rum with an intense tone and a balanced flavor.
