The Red Wine Vile La Finca Prieto Picudo.
This wine is produced in Valdevimbre, in the province of León, an area where the few vineyards of prieto picudo grape are found. Specifically, the vineyards selected to produce Vile La Finca wine are located at 830 meters and have very poor sandy-loamy soils with little organic matter and a lot of pebbles, which allows for soil aeration, promotes drainage and root development, and helps to "regulate" the temperature, as it "collects heat" during the day and releases it at night, avoiding large temperature variations, which favors vine development.
The harvest is done manually in 15kg boxes so that the grapes arrive in perfect conditions at the winery, where they are destemmed and crushed manually in small tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place, then it is transferred to French oak Bordeaux barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and aging for 16 months. It is a friendly wine, surprising, undoubtedly a great representative of the prieto picudo variety as it makes a pure interpretation of this typical variety of the Leon region.
