The Smoked Cheese from Pría is an artisan cheese from Asturias that is produced in La Pesa de Pría in the municipality of Llanes (Asturias)
Made with pasteurized cow's milk (90%) and sheep's milk (10%), it maintains its traditional artisanal production method, undergoing a smoking process with oak and beech wood from Asturian forests, which gives it an authentic and unique flavor. It is one of the most recognized Asturian cheeses at both the regional and national level.
The Smoked Cheese from Pría is a semi-soft cheese with an elastic texture and a brown rind. It has a mild and sweet flavor, with caramelized notes and a pleasant hint of smoke.
It is a very versatile cheese; in addition to being enjoyed in cubes (preferably), it can be used in cooking to gratin pasta or fish (especially cod).
Preferred consumption: This cheese is vacuum-sealed and should be kept refrigerated (2 to 6 degrees Celsius). We recommend letting it acclimate to room temperature for about half an hour before consuming.
