While you decide when to savor it, keep it in the fridge between 0ºC and 4ºC and consume it before the expiration date.
It is perfect as it is and can be eaten cold. If you heat it up, do not overdo it so it does not dry out. Put the bag in the microwave, stirring the package so the heat is even. It should be hot but not burning.
Just put it on a nice plate and enjoy it.
Those who want can add a piece of chorizo. In my house, my parents and grandparents have always added a splash of vinegar. I do it too. My children add a little white rice, a legacy from my husband.

More information: The cultivation of lentils in Spain dates back to Roman times when this food was already valued for its high protein content. Throughout the centuries, they have been a key food in the diet of the working classes for being cheap, nutritious, and their ability to feed large families. We have chosen to cook them only with vegetables because we are aware of the value it has for those who want only plant-based protein.
