Delicious homemade pear in wine jam produced in a limited way, made with a lot of love, and prepared in the old-fashioned way: in a pan and with a wooden spoon. This pear in wine jam combines the natural sweetness of ripe pears with the richness of selected local wine, but, due to the cooking process, it does not contain alcohol. To make this pear in wine jam, only fruit and sugar are used; no preservatives or additives are used. A minimal amount of sugar is used, just enough to allow for good preservation and to give it that sweet touch of jams. This jam is perfect for accompanying cheeses, meats or simply enjoying it on breakfast toast. The privileged environment in which this jam is made, in the heart of the Valle del Tiétar, allows for the use of a variety of locally sourced fruits such as figs (from La Adrada and Pedro Bernardo), chestnuts (from Casillas or Mijares), peaches (from Navaluenga), and kiwis, peaches, and cherries from El Hornillo.
