It is only made in years when the grapes and the vintage reach the quality and balance required by Matarromera. The distinction and differentiation of Matarromera Prestigio 2015, are due to the peculiarity of the calcareous terroir and its double aging, so that during 9 months it is aged in French barrels of Allier forests, after which it continues its aging another 9 months in new barrels of American oak of soft toast.

The aging in bottle is subsequently extended for 24 months to polish its noble and lively tannins. Matarromera Prestigio is complexity and balance; spicy aromas from French oak, fine roasted coffee and cocoa from the American barrel, with concentrated black fruits and Chinese ink from the chalky terroir. Attractive, bright dark cardinal color. Full-bodied and intense on the palate, with characteristic toasty tones and tart black fruit flavors. Its lively skeleton of sweet tannins and long, elegant finish perfectly accompanies its modern profile
