A BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY THROUGH TRADITION In 1961, Ricardo Coloma García acquired the brand (registered) and machinery of 1780 Eliseo Miquel, a craftsman who sold nougat at fairs. With this small machinery, the firm COLOMA GARCIA, S.L. was created.
The company started initially with the production of artisan nougat and sweets for the Christmas season. Sales were made at a provincial level. In subsequent years, the production of confectionery products and derivatives for ice cream such as Liquid Nougat would be incorporated, thus achieving a continuous work line throughout the year, both in the Christmas season and the summer season.
From the beginning, the company has always tried to maintain the same work line focused on the quality of the product, as well as the artisanal method of its production, following the traditions of Jijona.
In 1990, his son Ricardo Coloma Verdú joined the company, combining youth with experience. During the 90s, improvements were made in the manufacturing process and in the company's infrastructure, which allowed the implementation of the Quality System of the ISO-9001 standard registered by AENOR in 2001.
In 2003, their manufacturing and packaging processes, both for nougat and sweets and other creations, were recognized with the Craftsmanship brand of the Valencian Community.
Being a family business, the work line has always been to offer a high-quality product with excellent raw materials that can provide their customers with full confidence.
Their most famous products throughout the national territory are the specialties: Jijona Nougat and Alicante Nougat.
